Curriculum for Liberal Education

University Curriculum Committee for Liberal Education

The only education that prepares us for change is a liberal education. In periods of change, the narrow specialization condemns us to inflexibility -- precisely what we do not need. We need the flexible intellectual tools to be problem solvers, to be able to continue learning over time. -- David Kearns, former CEO of Xerox Corporation

What we do

The University Committee for Liberal Education [UCCLE] gives leadership to the Curriculum for Liberal Education and makes final curricular recommendations to the Commission on Undergraduate Studies and Policies concerning the inclusion of courses in the Curriculum for Liberal Education. The UCCLE reports to the Commission on Undergraduate Studies and Policies.
